PREFACE.

In presenting this little book to our friends, wewish to offer a few words of explanation. ManyDirectories have been commenced, but none everpublished. We have taken great care to procurethe addresses of every prominent dealer in theUnited States, and we think that few have beenomitted. Of course, where dealers are constantlystarting business, and others retiring, to producea complete Directory would be impossible, butwe have taken every measure to make the workas perfect as possible.
