Many friends and correspondents have suggestedthat I should republish a number ofarticles which have appeared from timeto time in various quarters. The present volumebrings these articles together, with some which havenot appeared before.
Each chapter is complete in itself, but there is moreor less connexion, for each deals with some aspect ofthe subject to which I have given most attentionduring the last twelve years—namely, psychicalresearch.
I thank the editors of the Holborn Review, NationalReview, World’s Work, and Occult Review for permissionto republish articles which have appeared in theirpages.
